This workshop will provide up-dates about the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD from the perspective of a highly experienced child and adolescent psychiatrist. Information will be provided about such important topics as; current data about the use of stimulants on college campuses, developments in medications with an emphasis on non-stimulants, cross-cultural comparisons in treatment approaches, and the impact of sleep patterns on high school and college students with ADHD.

Time will be allowed for what Dr. Bazelon hopes will be a spirited discussion, with questions and comments incorporating diverse points of view.

ABOUT PRESENTER(S):

Eileen A. Bazelon, M.D. has had a long career in college counseling, having worked at Bryn Mawr College and Philadelphia University, now Jefferson, for many years. She has been in private practice in Philadelphia and/or Montgomery County since 1975. She enjoys the collaboration of members of SOS. Her role has usually been that of medication management; she rarely, if ever, practices any kind of talk therapy as the people in this role do a better job at that.
